Many organizations are facing challenges today with the unprecedented growth of the Internet of Things (IoT). Energy Resource Aggregation Business (ERAB) is one of the new scenarios with a focus on electrical infrastructure. The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is addressing these new international standards under the SRD63443 series. With the emergence of ERAB, devices and services which are currently made in different countries and regions will now have a platform to ensure their trustworthiness. The ERAB platform will allow organizations, researchers and stakeholders to review and collaborate in regards to such cyber-physical systems from a new angle. Therefore, an international discussion is warranted to develop such security frameworks. In Japan, The Cyber and Physical Security Framework (CPSF) formulated by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) aims to take leadership and make progress in this area.
ERIA is involved in this project to review ERAB activities from the research and policy angle. ERIA is an international organization established in 2008 in accordance to the agreement of the leaders of 16 East Asia Summit member states. Its main role is to conduct research and policy analyses to facilitate the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and to support wider regional community. This workshop is also endorsed by ERIA together with CCRC in Keio University, Japan.
IPv6 Forum Malaysia will host the ERIA ERAB and Cyber and Physical System Security Workshop 2025, inviting international guests in Malaysia. The workshop is also endorsed by ERIA in alignment with CCRC in Keio University, Japan.
This workshop is to set into momentum a working relationship between experts from Japan and ASEAN countries to collaborate in the area of Cyber and Physical Framework (CPSF) including IoT devices.
