Certified Network Engineer for IPv6 (CNE6) Silver Certification Program

Governments around the world are now moving towards a fully-IPv6 implementation. To suppport this initiative and prepare the workforce through capacity-building, the APAC IPv6 Council together with IPv6 Forum Malaysia and NLTVC Education, is hosting the Certified Network Engineer for IPv6 (CNE6) Silver Workshop.

Malaysia- Japan ERAB (Energy Resource Aggregation Business) Cybersecurity Conference 2024

 
IPv6 Forum Malaysia hosts Malaysia–Japan ERAB Cybersecurity Conference 2024, to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 3rd September  2024. The conference with the endorsement by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) provides the experts in Malaysia and Japan with a mutual understanding of this new movement.

Nearly all organizations are struggling today with the unprecedented growth of the Internet of Things (IoT). Energy Resource Aggregation Business (ERAB) is a new scenario on the electricity infrastructure that International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is addressing the new international standards as SRD63443 series. Considering the emergence of ERAB, devices and services are made in different countries and regions that make up the global supply chain, there is a need to ensure the trustworthiness of a whole cyber-physical system in a new angle. Therefore, an international discussion is expected to warrant to develop security frameworks and Japan has driven the discussion by showing the Cyber and Physical Security Framework (CPSF) and the example of security implementation shown by “the security triangle of ERAB”.

Asia Pacific Certified IPv6 Migration Strategy Workshop 2024, Malaysia

 
The ASIA PACIFIC Certified IPv6 Migration Strategy for Regulators & Governing Authorities, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 20-21 June 2024. A curated training and certification workshop for regulators and governing authorities across the Asia Pacific region to develop and enhance the IPv6 Migration Strategies for their respective nations.

The IPv6 Summit 2023, held in Jakarta, Indonesia on 11th December, featured Prof. Sureswaran Ramadass as a keynote speaker, invited by the Indonesian Government for this prestigious event.

World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, China–2023



The 2023 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, which took place from 8th to 10th November in Wuzhen, China, had Prof. Sureswaran Ramadass as a distinguished guest. Invited by the Chinese Government, he delivered a talk on “IPv6 Security Potentials”.

IPv6 Enhanced and 5G Global Conference

 

IPv6 Forum Malaysia organized the IPv6 Enhanced and 5G Global Conference on 22 August 2023 at the Grand Hyatt, Kuala Lumpur. It was an international event with speakers and participants from over 10 countries. The conference was a sell-out success and saw more than 130 participants in attendance from multiple industries and sectors.

Online Workshop – Certified IPv6 Fundamental

 

The training in ITU-MUST IPv6 and IoT Centre of Expertise was held from 27th – 30th July 2020. And it was conducted by Professor Emeritus Dr. Sureswaran and Dr Navaneethan.Around 24 participants attended this workshop.

IPv6 Seminar at MUST

7th December 2016, Petaling Jaya, Selangor IPv6 Forum Malaysia in collaboration with Malaysia University of Science and Technology (MUST) and Malaysian Research and Education Network (MYREN) jointly hosting the IPv6 Seminar 2016 in the MUST Campus in Kelana Jaya, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. In accordance to Latif Ladid the President of Global IPv6 Forum from Luxemburg describe that the Global IPv6 Forum is very pleased to honour Telekom Malaysia Bhd for its exemplary deployment of IPv6 placing Malaysia among the top IPv6 nations in the world. Malaysia currently on 16th place in world and 2nd top in Asia.This achievement is recognised with the Jim Bound IPv6 Award. Jim was the absolute IPv6 designer and hands-on engineer of IPv6 at the IETF and in the industry. Telecom Malaysia can be very proud of its deployment efforts since IPv6 has achieved with just 21.0% in its network a 95 % of total Malaysia( http://stats.labs.apnic.net/cgi-bin/v6pop?c=my). He further elaborate that Telekom Malaysia has excelled in its deployment efforts in clearly positioning Malaysia among the top IPv6 nations in the world. This is a unique example to many other large operators and ISPs to follow to reap the benefits from IPv6 deployment to keep growing the Internet and nurture many potential innovations and technology inflections such IoT, SmartGrid, Smart Cities, Mobile Internet and sensor networks to name a few.
